Long de 7 à 13 mm, l´adulte est nocturne. Il se trouve dans les Lierres. La larve* attaque certaines racines ; elle hiverne et se transforme à l´intérieur d´une logette de terre en avril. On le voit du printemps à l´été, il est commun.

This 7 to 13 mm adult is nocturnal. As indicated by its name, it can be found in Ivy and Hoop. The larva feeds on certain plant roots. It hibernates, then in April transforms inside a nook in the ground. It is commonly spotted through spring and summer.
