Allophyes oxyacanthae (Linné, 1758)

La chenille vit sur l'Aubépine et divers Rosacées. L'adulte, strictement nocturne, vole en septembre et octobre.
On le rencontre dans les lumières de la ville et, au moyen de pièges lumineux, au "Cabaret Masson"
(P 246).

The caterpillar lives on Hawthorne and other rosaceae. The adult moth, on the wing in September and October, is exclusively nocturnal.
It can be observed fluttering through streetlamp lights and, by using light traps in the Fontainebleau forest, at the “Cabaret Masson” (P 246).
