La chenille écorchant l'extrémité d'une branche de Pin provoque une sécrétion résineuse de la taille d'une noix. Elle y vit et la chrysalide y hiverne. Le papillon éclôt en mai et juin. The caterpillar nicks off the end of pine branches in such a way that sap, the size of a walnut, oozes out. The caterpillar then burrows in that sap and that is also where the pupa hibernates. The moth appears in May and June. |
