Les chenilles se nourrissent en fin d'été sur les Pins et peuvent ravager entièrement une pineraie. L'adulte vole d'avril à juillet, la femelle est diurne et le mâle nocturne.
On les rencontre au "Rocher Brûlé" (P 424).

The caterpillars attack Pines at the end of the summer and have the capacity to reduce a whole Pine forest to nothing. The adult is airborne from April to July. The male is nocturnal and the female diurnal.
Both can be observed at the “Rocher Brûlé” (P 424).
